Over twenty-four years ago, Dick McMahon and Larry Brown, had a conversation that resulted in them becoming the co-founders of Save-a-Connie, now known as the Airline History Museum. As a heartfelt "Thank You!" we will be honoring and officially recognizing these two gentlemen during the Salute to Aviation.
Admission is free with donations to help support the Airline History Museum being very welcome. Weather permitting, there will be a number of static displays. The Heart of America Wing of the Commemorative Air Force will be here with their PX and flying warbird aircraft available for rides with a donation.
EAA Chapter 1483 will be giving Young Eagles rides.
Chris Cakes will be on hand serving breakfast for the early birds and lunch later.
Static displays:
P-51 Mustang; AC47 Spooky; Beech 18; Christen Eagles; Apache Helicopter; Skytracker 41; Citation CJ1; Cessna 120; CAF Warbird Aircraft; Lockheed Constellation, DC-3, Martin 404; Lockheed L-1011
This event will be August 21, 2010 from 8-3. Fly-in or drive in. Fly-ins go to hangar 9 at the Airline History Museum. |
