From the Airline History Museum Folks:
The day has finally come that we can say with 99% surety, our Lockheed L-1011, (Elle) will fly in to her new home here at the AHM, this coming Saturday, January 30th!
Projected arrival time is 1:30 p.m. At this point, the only thing(s) that could change this would be 1. bad weather 2. or the sometimes unforeseens with aircraft. We have a very small staff, so please do not call the museum for updates, THEY WILL BE POSTED ON THE WWW.AHMHANGAR.COM SITE. This will include posting her notice of her departure from Roswell and any progress reports we get as she makes her way here.
Elle will be the first L-1011 to ever land at the Downtown Airport and we invite one and all to come and watch this historic event! |

Hi Sarah, trying to dodge the weather and the work thing... but have been able to get to up in the MKC pattern a couple of times. I flew the sky arrow to GPH to do some touch and go's and some air work. It's a fun plane to fly. I hope to get back up in the plane soon.
Just a reminder...I would still love to have a copy of the photo that we talked about. I know you have been busy. After all, you have JIM D to take care of.  |
